Bristol Event Catering Co is launching Boxed, a new delivery service that will bring boxes of local produce to households in Bristol to barbecue and eat outside when coronavirus restrictions are lifted.
Suppliers including Hobbs House Bakery, Arthur David wholesalers and Buxton Butchers will supply seasonal food in tailored boxes, prepared by chefs. Customers will be able to finish off meals at home on their barbecue with simple instructions. Both meat and vegan options are available. Drinks from local breweries including Wiper and True and The Wild Beer Co. will also be on offer
“The time has come to enjoy ourselves and celebrate our freedom, and we have the solution to help you make the most of the time with your friends,” said Boxed founder James Caesar to Bristol Live. He set up Bristol Event Catering Co. just over a year ago before the first lockdown.
“Boxed combines award-winning local suppliers and the finest seasonal produce sourced from local businesses and delivers it to your door.
“It was disheartening launching our catering company so soon before the first lockdown last year, but we’re really excited to launch Boxed and can’t wait to hear people’s feedback.”
Orders open on Monday 15th March, in time for the Easter Bank Holiday.
