The acclaimed Michelin-starred Pony & Trap in Chew Magna, North East Somerset, has announced they will be opening a new restaurant in south Bristol.
The restaurant, headed up by chef and restaurateur Josh Eggleton, broke the news on their Instagram account with a handwritten note that said: “Guess what! We are opening a second Pony on North Street”. The exact location and date were not revealed.
Eggleton, who took over the Pony & Trap in 2006, also co-owns Salt & Malt, the Kensington Arms and Root in Bristol. His team were also part of the Breaking Bread socially-distanced pop-up on the Downs in the city. In March this year, he said the closure of his restaurants due to the Covid-19 pandemic lockdown had left him “technically bankrupt”.
