Salcombe Distilling Co. is delighted to announce the launch of a new Salcombe Gin Embassy in Torquay, in partnership with Wesup. The newly created Salcombe Gin Embassy launched on Friday 7th August and is located in a specially designed garden terrace at Wesup’s fabulous waterside venue and is the perfect location to experience drinks, food and great music.
Howard Davies, Co-Founder and Director of Salcombe Distilling Co. explains: “Creating a Salcombe Gin Embassy with Wesup is the realisation of a long held dream at Salcombe Distilling Co.; to find a partner organisation that shares our values and love of the ocean, where we can have a brand home away from home, for people to enjoy our spirits in a beautiful setting with exceptional service to match. Wesup more than fulfil this aspiration and I am absolutely thrilled to be working with Sean and the team; this marks the beginning of another exciting chapter in our journey. I’m personally looking forward to enjoying a Salcombe & Tonic on Wesup’s waterside terrace whilst making the most of the fantastic views across Torquay harbour.”
Sean White, Founder of Wesup adds: “We built the ultimate stand-up paddle-boarders’ clubhouse here at the marina in Torquay. It’s a place where people share their adventures and love of enjoying quality time on the water. We have a fabulous 360 square metre building with windows overlooking the harbour plus a large garden with sea breezes cleansing the air throughout. The new Salcombe Gin Embassy is going to be an absolute sensation and I’m insanely excited for what’s to come – it’s like the coolest London bar on holiday!”
Sean continues: “When it comes to linking up with Salcombe Gin, we’ve built the kind of environment where people can sit back and consider the drink that’s in front of them. It’s not a venue for people to sink pint after pint. I personally select every drink that is served here, so that I know we can recommend it to everyone. It’s like having people around to your house. The business here is all about local people having a top-quality venue to enjoy.”
The Salcombe Gin Embassy will be open 7 days a week between 8.30am and 6pm where Wesup will serve its normal offering of brunch, speciality coffee and drinks. During the day time trading hours, alcoholic drinks will be served from the main bar indoors. The day trade will transcend into the night trade from 6pm on Friday and Saturday when the pop-up bar will be open until 11pm.
